Thanks everybody. Luke your help will be invaluable. As regards naming and shaming individual local authorities there will be a section on the Website called LAW. Local authority watch. We will relentlessly hold them to account. How many members of the public are aware that LCC was convicted of a data offence in the magistrates court. A rogue council.

Can we have an educating the tenant department please and a yes/No chart for how to keep the pressure up and who to go to next when we get negative/blocking answers?
Also a list of all the bad things happening to landlords and tenants to take with me when i go to speak to anyone. I know about them all but wouldn't be able to bring them all to mind at the appropriate moment as there are soooooo many of them

Unlike the current council loving associations there will be a section for tenants where tenants can also get templates to email and complain re the intrusive nature of licensing where councils expect us to spy on tenants how many to a room etc.

Count me in. I have telephoned the RLA this morning to express my disappointment regarding a recent article they have published by Polly Neate of Shelter regarding accidental landlords. No supporting evidence or statistics to support the claims she makes. How the RLA could publish such vacuous drivel is beyond me.
