Hi Mark, Just followed the link and read the following comment by Mr AW. 60 million would only house a few dozen, taking the average house price in the uk as £226k it would by 265 properties, that would seem to be more than a few dozen, in fact its 22 dozen. 226 is not enough to house all the homeless, but its a lot more than zero, which they currently own.
This set me thinking, If they used the 60 million the same way that most buy to let landlords do I.E. 15% deposit and finance the ballance by my reconing they could provide in excess of 176 thousand homes ?

Good Landlords provide a Service that goverments and councils cannot provide , we live and breath the job 24-7 not 9-5 are doors stay open.

Please remember that £60,000,000 is their annual Budget, not a one time budget.
How many homes could they have provided in their existence, as opposed to frittering it away so destructively on anti-landlord politics?
