General Election 8th June – Who on earth do landlords vote for?

We are asking all landlords to complete this Poll.

Oops! We could not locate your form.

We are also extremely interested in your views so please post comments.

For example, you may well despise what the Conservative Government has done and you may well mistrust them but will any other party be better?

If landlords vote for minor parties might this hand a win to Labour?

Do you think a coalition Government is likely, and if so between which parties?

Which party would you least prefer to be elected and why?

Could not voting hand this election to Labour?

Most of the media love a bit of populist Landlord bashing, and would jump on any politician or party that overtly tried to help Landlords especially during a General Election campaign.

I had a vision in my sleep and I woke up screaming.

I was being chased by a HMRC inspector and she was trying to eat my face with a fork.

But back to the election.

I have a nightmare of a prediction!

You will wake up,the morning after the election and you will want to crawl into a ball and cry.

There won't be a Conservative government-

Labour will win and then we all wave goodbye to our portfolios,as we are attacked in the street by tenants that don't like paying rent.

Is that a scary thought?, well Jeremy Corbyn hates private landlords, he's on file as saying so, it's a possibility.

This country is absolutely f****ed if it thinks Labour will improve anybody's life chances.

The British have gone soft on Labour promises of handouts of 'investing' (Borrowing) for our future.

You got a slight taste of it with Tony Blair and PFI in the NHS.
Nice shiny hospitals with a 200 year lease agreement on them.

Last time they blamed the banks, for crashing the economy, so who's next to blame?

Is it you?

Your a private landlord, (aka Evil B***ard), and the wealth you have stolen from the poor should and will be used to fund the NHS black hole (money pit # 1), higher education,(money pit #2), More ineffective police, that can't get a case past the CP Service, so the crime figures will be lower. (money pit # 3).

Labour will be Nationalizing everything in your fridge, in exchange for worthless government bonds, that taxpayers will have to pay back (Money pit # 4).

Food rations, petrol rations, strikes for more pay, unlimited public sector strikes for more pay, stoppages, massive unbalanced imports, money markets leaving London, wealthy investing in Ireland and the EU,the PRS collapsing under the strain of rent controls.

Maybe it will be a Donald Trumps fault!

It's never Labours fault, it's always the sensible wealth creators. that have done us wrong.

£1.4 Trillion in debt and rising, but hey let's ignore that for now, it won't matter, it can go on forever and a day, under a Labour government.

The money markets, where we borrow £1 billion a week from, are,-at some point, going to give this country the biggest shafting up the arse hole ever seen of historic proportions.

Interest rates will rocket, the pound will be worth a piece of dog shit and inflation will match the interest rates as the Labour lunatics spend your great, great, grandkids future wealth on lazy whining students, bone idle NHS whingers, who spend more time complaining than getting on with healing people and fat arsed, feckless wasters called long term unemployed people on benefits.

Last one to the food bank will be eating a wax candle under Labour.

Labour are the scourge of evil, they offer nothing but a short term fix of feel good, followed by decades of pain.

Pain that is always having to be dished out by Tory Governments, never a Labour government.

Oh and as usual they will have a 'meaningful dialogue' with terrorists and Islamic radicals, (so don't go out at night, you might get your throat cut), they'll be coming to a town near you, sooner than you think.
If your on a coastal town they normally come by boat, from the sea and spray you with bullets, whilst your lying on your deck chairs.

But they will abolish grammar schools, because they pose a bigger threat than Islamic Terrorists.

Remember, those educated 18 year olds that show some talent, will ruin us if they get more educated than the comprehensive educated thickies!

Wake up people there is still time to save yourselves!
# get incorporated
# ditch Labour
# vote Tory
# I'm still voting UKIP, but I'm crying in my sleep.

Yes Mark, this could well happen - as seems to be the mantra in Global politics at present - expect the unexpected.

I agree, the Conservatives have put their traditional voters on edge by proposing the care tax - later revised by still leaving voters wondering if this is just a temporary stay of execution. If Labour wins, then prepare for tax grabs all round and more legislation/government interference in the PRS, amongst other areas.

Lib Dems - well they want to promise a further referendum on Brexit on ther final negotiated deal. For that read that the EU will give the UK the worst deal imaginable, knowing that there will be a vote by Joe Public, who will not want to vote for it, and thus the EU will get its way by the UK not leaving the EU.

I've always voted, and not taken this process for granted but this time around I really do not know which party to vote for - i'm almost thinking of spoiling my ballot paper or voting for some odd ball party - so at least I can say I took part in the democratic process. Basically, there is no one party which clearly gets my vote, I feel under attack whoever I end up voting for, sadly.

I'm only 49 and i was brought up by a single mother in a 2 bed terraced left school with little qualifications, you vote labour when you have nothing generally, in the hope someone will GIVE you something.....But that's not life, its what you work for and the effort you put in that dictates your future, and when you've done that you realise the so called 'poor' are generally 'poor' for good reason (not all of course, there can be circumstances life mental health etc).
The Labour governments have always poured money on the poor, but even in the bible i think it says teach a man to fish.....I remember the 3 day week, no electricity after 6pm, rubbish piled in the street, like bodies in mortuaries in the 70s.....then Blair who started OK, but PFId new hospitals, left the immigration doors open to the country, took our pensions saving with tax and gave free laptops to people.....and still insist on a public service so badly run at times its not a service
You really couldn't write it as a story could you!?
I started as an electrician after an apprenticeship (moved 200 miles away as there were none in the midlands) got a staff facility management job, moved to another city to work in procurement (and kept my 1st house brought at 23 with 15% interest rates) worked oversea's in 22 countries and 6m out of the country for years, Became a Global head, then started my own consultancy working with blue-chip companies, 10 years in and an average 60-80 hrs week for nearly 25 yrs.....i'm now being further punished by more tax and tenants for all the risks, savings and hard work......
who should you vote for......it should be Tory, but even they have let me down after i got on my bike to find work at 17!!

Similar story here Mike, I totally hear you.

"They are casting their problems at society. And, you know, there's no such thing as society. There are individual men and women and there are families. And no government can do anything except through people, and people must look after themselves first. It is our duty to look after ourselves and then, also, to look after our neighbours." Margaret Thatcher, 1987. The year I left school with nowhere to live and went out there and did it anyway, because these were the values I believed in.

These elitists are not Conservatives. I still fear they may be better that the alternative though. Although after S24 and dividend tax, I can't even say that conclusively any more.

dont waste your vote--i voted UKIP as only labor can win in the caliphate of mitcham and morden--but every vote for UKIP reminds mat-she who cannot be trusted--that many UKIPPERS are only voting tory on this occasion--if she fails--we will be back to UKIP big time
