Standalone Inventory Software – Any suggestions please?

Do you know of a standalone software package for inventories that let’s you insert time and date stamped photos into it?

At the moment I use Imfuna Let which is good but I am becoming concerned about the fact that the pictures are time and date stamped in US rather than UK time. That is OL until the TDS scheme administrator asks why I was doing inventories at 3am in the morning!

Does anyone know where I can get some decent standalone property inventory software that let’s you embed pictures rather than using the web based subscription services currently available?

Thanks

Hi All,
We still carry out our own inventories in the 'long winded' way by typing into a template. We would love to simplify and speed things up but I have looked at many of the systems that use drop down boxes and they just do not seem to give you the level of detail that would be required to satisfy a Deposit Scheme Arbitrator. Unless you have free form text to describe things and their condition I just do not see how they can meet the evidential requirements.

I would love to hear comments from anyone on this general but critical issue as well as regarding the abilities of specific tools.

The template I use is a mixture of pre described items and free form text which I can also dictate into using Siri with the mini iPad and phone. Would that help? I sent an example to Gary earlier; happy to do the same until I can get my good landlords membership profile updated (Mark :))

Hi Sian, that would be great if you could although I am not sure how to do that?

Hi Ray

Please see this article from Sian and my reply >>> http://www.property118.com/can-i-upgrade-to-business-membership-without-monthly-fees/41404/

Sian has upgraded her member profile in the last few minutes and I will be adding a link to her profile to one of her example reports as soon as she is able to send it to me. I'm sure Sian will be working on that as I type and that she will be pleased to post another comment to give you the heads up when that's done 🙂

Looks great, I will add a link to one of your sample inventories as soon as I receive it 🙂

I see you went all out and took business membership and the GOOD Landlords Campaign sponsorship too.

Good on you and THANK YOU 🙂

Hi Gary,

I have recently created a new inventory software solution, called TimeSaved, and we let you easily attach photos into the inventory pdf.

If you're still searching for a solution we operate a free trial - via http://www.magni-eye.co.uk

Feel free to check it out, and please don't hesitate to ask any questions or request any factors that would make the solution a better fit for your needs. My number is 07714323556 should you wish to talk about what you're looking for in detail.

Many thanks, and I hope you find a suitable solution as soon as possible.

Thanks again to everyone who has made suggestions. Having played around with the various software packages I think I am going to move from Imfuna to Isurvey as used by Sian. I have used it on my android phone and IPad and the navigation is, with my limited tech ability, a lot easier than the others. You can get lost with the other packages but with Isurvey just a click back takes you to the room. I know advocates of other systems will say it's because I don't know how to use them properly, but for me the benefits of Isurvey is that it is very intuitive. I did a two bed unfurnished flat on site in about an hour this morning. Which is quicker than the four to five hours it was taking. So thanks to you all and happy inventorying!!
