Hi Mark

Yes, but I think the following wording removes ambiguity: "She receives rent of £75,000 per annum"

There had been no figure quoted for allowable costs so I made one up - £15,000.

'I have just tweeted our 7,000 followers the link. '

Not bad, ay?

LL is there any reason you would not serve a S21 now on those tenants you mention? You do not have to follow it through of course. If they choose to move on then you have lost the problem (alas someone else will have it) but if they do stay then you can enforce it whenever you like.

Yes the situation is serious which is why the petition is doing so well currently, but we will win a lot of support from other tenants that realise there is pain to come for them too.

Indeed, there are options available. The problem I personally have is that I would like to do things with my head held high and not interfere with other folks life where possible (for my own excessive gains - I have some morals).

Of course no one wants to sell, I suppose I could sell the higher gainers first to try and buy them with the cash via LTD, I am not 100% sure here so need professional advice.

Another concern of mine is that almost everyone I know is BTL in some way and most cannot take this hit or hits if we include the BOE "tools" coming as well. The mentality remains that some would want to get out quick "before others", we have to take herd mentality into account as it is true.

So on the flipside this promotion / petition / etc, do you think that the more 'mum and dad' landlords find out about this the more the panic will be and panic selling? I am not trying to be negative - just saying things out loud.

Also need to convince the BOE for no changes in the remaining months of 2015.

If you were going to sell everything and reinvest then I think the best new investment that I can think of is for an individual to buy the most expensive personal residence home as they could possibly afford, preferably in London. No landlord levy tax, no capital gains tax, no income tax. You even get additional inheritance tax limits up to £1 million pound. No VAT, no National Insurance. No tenants from hell, no crap tradesmen, no legal renting/licensing laws, no paperwork and re letting. No phone calls in the middle of the night. I've been in the business for 28 years - what's happening to me?

Landing Lord in your 2 posts I think you may have given away 3 clues as to your origins:
1. ‘A pinch of salt’ which also featured elsewhere today
2. ‘sell everything’ – a term used heavily on another forum
3. Use of the word ‘indeed’ – the absolute favourite word at you know where

Sincere apologies if I’m wrong. We don’t want to become like that other twisted forum who are copying and pasting almost every single post here on to theirs…

Just signed the petition.

Gentle reminder to everyone, please ensure that everyone in your family signs the petition, which includes husband & wife and any adult children. (I'm sure everyone has it's own email address)

You may not realise by following this protocol, you can double, treble or even quadruple signatories !
