Hi Larry. Ive 30 properties and increasing (so about 60 tenants). I’m behind you and happy to pledge £100. Please let it concentrate on the following:
The selective licensing won’t stop and councils will eventually roll this out to every rented property, even studios, to make more money (the costs will get passed onto tenants ultimately).
Scrapping S24. I’m putting all my tenants rents up as often below market value to compensate.
Reduce the time and cost to remove problem tenants. Happy to work with CAB and tenants when in difficulty, but six months or more, plus huge costs to remove non payers isn’t acceptable.
Reduce the increasing administrative burden on landlords. An EPC needed before evicting someone. Never had anyone ask for one in the last 15 years.
