Larry starts 9.42 into the programme if you want to fast forward to him.

Why didn’t Shelter appear? What are they scared of? Larry telling it as it is regarding Shelter providing no housing and urging people who want to see an end to homelessness to support a charity like Centrepoint instead.

Seething Landlord, the over whelming majority of the public are under the impression that shelter provide accommodation and food for homeless people, and do not read the small print. Shelter know that.
Rather than criticise Larry why not instead put yourself forward to help with the new Alliance and maybe do interviews?

Well done Larry. I can’t imagine it’s easy being interviewed, and as previously mentioned people always think, oh I should have said that.
In regards not specifying numbers, the presenter is clearly trying to trip you up. No reasonable person would expect a new organisation which has just set up to have the numbers of an existing long established one!

It was blindingly obvious the presenter was biased, but then again the radio 4 programme is likely to be just about the most lefty hostile anti Landlord your likely to appear on (other than the odd couple of LBC / Talk radio shows).

Keep up the good work.

Mark, I appreciate your attempt to pour oil on troubled waters. On one thread I posed the question to Larry: Are you including the Property 118 campaign ... in what you describe disparagingly as the "so called lobbying that landed us with sect 24"?

He has not answered this question and looking back, I think it was his failure to acknowledge all the effort that was put in by you and others that might have coloured my attitude to his subsequent efforts. I will never subscribe to his "bull at a gate" approach which I believe will do nothing to enhance the reputation of landlords or achieve any positive result, but perhaps I should sit back and let him get on with it, for the time being at least.

Yes Mark, you got some stick re the West Brom battle. How many of the critics were big enough to apologise after it was won? My guess is none. Here we are seeing the same thing regarding Larry's efforts. There is a significant difference between helpful and well meant advice and outright criticism which despite the aforesaid critics describing as "constructive" come across as sour grapes and "destructive".

Larry does recognise the input of Property118 and we are helping him as much as we can. Our relationship is a good one, and let's be honest, we all have our failings and we can all improve.

I think he will just get on with things in his own way regardless of critique, but that will not stop me providing what I consider to be helpful and positive critique where I think it could be of benefit to him and his aims.

You're right Richard. I got a lot of people congratulating and thanking me but zero apologies from those who told me I couldn't possibly win, or said the only reason I took the case was a publicity stunt for self-interest and ego, or indeed the people who said that I was giving people false hope and encouraging them to risk their hard earned money by paying into the class action which had no chance of succeeding. I was even accused of ripping people off, even though I did everything for free!

Such is life I suppose. Good job I'm thick skinned hey?

It's also a good job we won!

Larry, thumbs up to you for having a go at something most can't do, sadly you had no chance against her. It takes a Nigel Farage with years of experience in politics to handle that. I tried it many years ago and felt so embarrassed afterwards never did it again. Don't take the criticism to heart, you've got passion and guts so think about comments and use it to improve what you've already got. You are a doer which is more than most. Well done mate.

Thanks to Mark and Neil at Property 118. The Alliance would not have been possible without them. That is the reality. Good luck to them on Saturday. Thank you too, to everybody here who have supported us. This is much appreciated. As regards the interview, the view is that it went extremely well. We handled the questions fielded and we had no control what so ever as to when said interview would finish. Within weeks of the birth of the Alliance, we are on national radio. I am not going to respond to negative comments. We are far too busy, but hopefully we can emulate Mark and his victory . To those who felt we could have done better, get your kit on and get on the field. Have a great weekend everybody. It has been an amazing week for the Alliance.

I want you to win.
I want you to get better and better so that you can win (for all of us).
