The statement I quoted was from M&S, not Shelter, to demonstrate that they know that Shelter’s main purpose is to provide advice.
How do you know that individual donors are not also aware of this?
Who do you think should provide the advice or would you prefer that tenants are left to fend for themselves against the actions of landlords who try to bend the rules?

Seething landlord clearly loves Shelter and is seething on behalf of tenants who suffer at the hands of these millions of criminal landlords. Im beginning to seeth on behalf of our seething landlord friend. I have never read such complete tosh. Is seething landlord really a landlord. Clearly not.

Perhaps you should read all the comments he’s ever written on this forum before jumping to conclusions Larry.
They are all accessible from his member profile, as is the case for all members.

Several previous comments acknowledge that appearing on radio like Larry did is damn hard to get right. I have done it, and doubtless like Larry did, I always came away wishing I had handled it differently & regretting points I did not get across. The point is Larry did it and had a go. Well done Larry. It is quite astonishing that he gets criticised for his efforts. Seething Landlord would seem to come from the Groucho Marx school of thought “Whatever it is I’m against it”. Groucho of course used to say this humorously though.

I can assure you Larry that he is indeed a landlord. I have known him for many years and can confirm he owns several properties.

Larry
I appreciate that emotion is running high at the moment. I respectfully recommend we all take some time out for reflection, I know I will certainly be doing so as I’m taking the next week off to visit friends and family in the UK

Just one other point for us all to consider is that several hundreds of thousands of landlords will know exactly what section 24 is all about within the next two months because they will be paying their tax bills for the first year of its existence
