Boiler Grant still available?

Boiler Grant still available?

3:06 PM, 1st October 2018, 8 years ago 9

Hi, Please can I ask if anybody knows of any replacement boiler grants that are still available.

The tenant I have is a single mum on child tax credits.

The property is a 2 bed, mid terraced house.

Thank you very much if you are able to point me in the right direction.

Nigel

I have properties in the North West, predominantly Liverpool and Wirral.
I found a scheme and got a number of my housing benefit tenants to apply. Although some of my properties/ tenants passed the survey , the funding was pulled overnight without any warning.
In view of this, I would also be very interested to know if there are any schemes in my area.

As what I know at moment as of today, no boiler schemes.
The providers are regularly in touch with me and nothing available.

I had 45 FORTY-FIVE free FREE boilers fitted 2013 2014. This were the days.
    Good spec Vaillant as well.

If the scheme does come back in, don’t go for the cheap boilers. Pay £200 or so more for good quality boiler.

I did an awful lot of home work on this in 2016. There were just two charities that helped those on a low income with heating matters. They do not operate like the now defunct scheme mentioned above. They are funded completely diferently. much drilling down needed. The second charity name eludes me. If any one wants it, let me know and I will search it out.

You earnt your money there Mick. Organising that lot must have been a nightmare.
But how good was the fitting? Not knocking it completely but the couple I had done, I had to send my plumber round afterwards to refit them properly. Absolutely atrocious jobs.
How much did the fitters get paid for fitting each boiler? Someone of your acumen must have asked.

You’re right, and the parts are often dearer to replace on cheaper boilers. Any ideas how I keep in touch to find out as soon as a scheme comes out?
