What is wrong with this Government?

Sajid Javid has granted an amnesty from prosecution for tenants that illegally subletted their council property in Grenfell Towers.

This despite the limited and long overdue legislation introduced by the Tory government only a few years ago.

He has probably given the green light and amnesty to anybody who was responsible for innocent adults and children being burned to death because of overcrowding due to the sheer greed of the sub-letters of any social housing.

What the hell is wrong with this Government?

He has suggested that by doing so, people will now come forward and name the poor souls they are responsible for killing in the name of profit.

I am personally beside myself with rage over this, as I have to obey the overcrowding rules on HMO’s, but the subletters are to be allowed to get away with it.

Any person now being prosecuted for this criminal act, will now only have to mention that they have seen to be treated equally in the eyes of the law, as others have, to get away with it.

The accountability for this tragedy is being eroded before the enquiry into it has even begun and is a betrayal of the law abiding residents and people killed at Grenfell Towers.

It's sickening.
While the Tories mug the Landlords and rip them off the Labour Party want to strip it all down whack up the taxes and borrow till we go even more bust
There is no party currently operating that truly meets the needs of the people.
The subletting black market operators are a product of circumstance.
Usually ignorant of the law and blaise about it anyway they do not give a dam.
Legislation and punitive tax regimes levied on Landlords changes nothing.
The rents that have been paid on the Grenfell estate since 1975 or so have more than paid for the build itself and so the thousand of tenants that pay each and every month are just pure cash flow for the local council.
The 100s or more multimillionaires that live in the borough simply pay council tax and that's it.
It's a cold hearted callous world the people of these estates live in.

No party has ever met the needs of the people. The Tories have favoured the well off and Labour the poor. We are stuck in no mans land. The big commercial landlords do well under their friends and we're left out in the cold. No one has any sympathy for landlords and honestly why would they? We do the best we can with what we have.
