What is wrong with this Government?

Sajid Javid has granted an amnesty from prosecution for tenants that illegally subletted their council property in Grenfell Towers.

This despite the limited and long overdue legislation introduced by the Tory government only a few years ago.

He has probably given the green light and amnesty to anybody who was responsible for innocent adults and children being burned to death because of overcrowding due to the sheer greed of the sub-letters of any social housing.

What the hell is wrong with this Government?

He has suggested that by doing so, people will now come forward and name the poor souls they are responsible for killing in the name of profit.

I am personally beside myself with rage over this, as I have to obey the overcrowding rules on HMO’s, but the subletters are to be allowed to get away with it.

Any person now being prosecuted for this criminal act, will now only have to mention that they have seen to be treated equally in the eyes of the law, as others have, to get away with it.

The accountability for this tragedy is being eroded before the enquiry into it has even begun and is a betrayal of the law abiding residents and people killed at Grenfell Towers.

I agree the BBC is biased, but so is C4, ITV and Sky.

Reading a book and watching RT won't bring back the dead.

You do know this article is about subletting don't you?

Yes...thanks for reminding me. .subletting is wrong full stop, unless with permission....the amnesty is about a body count..to identify every poor soul. Some residents that survived and broke the law have fled, hence the amnesty....any way life is cyclical not linear, so those people who died are now safe and in peace on a new plane , there is no death in the sense it's purported. Our body's are vessels for our spirits to move around in on this plane. When we age, our body is like an old suit and you simply leave it behind. We're spiritual beings having a human experience, hence the greed. We're not humans looking for a spiritual experience ....matter and the Conscience can never be destroyed. Were like a piece of wood on a fire, the log disappears but it's natter is not eroded simply changed in form.it still exists . Peace ✌️ have a good evening....

Are you a ******* nutter or just impersonating one to side track discussions by what you may consider to be "evil", "capitalist" housing providers?

Level playing field needed here. Lets get rid of any PC crap that stifles discussions and prevents the necessary improvements being taken.

If anything contributed to this loss of life it needs addressing. If anyone contributed to the loss of life they need prosecuting. People died.

Illegal sub letting / overcrowding could well have been a factor. The enquiry needs to be open about this and we need to find out. Illegal migrants are likely to overcrowd and sublet. Living in a tower block where lots of subletting / over crowding is going on is dangerous for all occupants. Luckily we already have laws in place to prevent disasters like this. Unluckily sometimes these laws aren't enforced due to political correctness.

Is anybody else out there enjoying the banter between the realist and the delusionary fantasist to who's idealistic theories all sounds good until you put free thinking people in the mix.

An amnesty is the only solution in this dreadful tragedy to find out exactly who was in the building at the time. People won't come forward and name tenants if they think they'll face prosecution. We need to know the names of the people who died. No they shouldn't get away with in but in this instance they really have no choice.

This enquiry is probably dead in the water already.

The country can't get its act together over Brexit because of the political opportunism of the Labour Party, the media and the crass stupidity and timidity of the Government.

Labour MP Emma Dent Coad has already called for the judge appointed by our independent judiciary to resign.

Why? - because it's what Labour do to everything and it always backfires at some point.

The Shadow chancellor says that the tenants were murdered.

Corbyn says that the deaths were caused by political decisions.

People that have no links to the area have stirred up trouble and now tenants are refusing accommodation that is outside the area.

And an amnesty is in place for illegal subletting and illegal immigration and we still don't know the death toll.

It's a bit of a mess methinks.
