Journalistic Support Required
Believe it or not, the vast majority of the News articles you see on Property118, together with Readers Questions, Social Media Posts, Daily Newsletters, Weekly Roundup Newsletters and comment moderation are dealt with in between other tasks performed by just one person, Property118 Managing Director Neil Patterson. He can’t even switch off on the rare occasions he takes a holiday!
Neil desperately needs some extra support in these roles, so this project is right at the top of our priority list.
Budget is not an issue, so long as we continue to see a positive ROI in terms of Membership growth, article readership numbers and commenting of course. Pay will reflect experience, and given that we only want to work with the best of the best the terms of engagement will be financially generous and flexible in terms of working from home and working hours.
If we end up with two, possibly three and maybe even more people working on journalistic content, Newsletters, Social Media and comment moderation, we will need to be mindful about overlap. This will need some careful thought on our part, but we definitely need more help before Neil completely burns himself out.
Do you know anyone who might be interested?
We have been consulting with an extremely high level property journalist. He’s in the twilight years of his career but is willing to work with us part time However, we have all agreed this might not be enough to achieve our objectives entirely. One of his suggestions is that we also consider the recruitment of a young Journalism graduate who is keen to gain recognition in the industry, so that’s the purpose of this article, i.e. to see whether any of our readers fit that description or know somebody who does. They will need to be passionate about property and may well be in the business directly or have family members that are.
If you know anybody who has these qualities please ask them to complete the form below.

Ha ha good old Neil. Yes Neil is brilliant, he’s there instantly.
I will say people If u gonna’ send Neil a story to put on, make it AS SIMPLE as u can for him ie.
Clear title.
Clear story, paragraphs etc. So it’s quicker for him to copy & paste. As he too is human like us & wants to bike & holidays & that. And he can be on holiday when we bugging him.
And yes now u Mark are fighting the imbeciles in Govt with your Tax work & helping Landlords, 118 does need more help.
