I am having the very same problems at the moment in other areas such as the Probate Office which has reduced it service starting last year, intends to do so even more, has increased Probate fees by up to 3,800% (!!!!!) and has announced further redundancies.
This collapse is everywhere I look.
As Elon Musk says, Government is the ultimate dysfunctional corporation.

The only possible real improvements that I can see are completely unpalatable to the majority of people. Moreover I am not actually sure that there is any improvement possible. But I painfully agree with you. There is absolutely no point in pouring ever more recycled tax money into a corporate system that has a consistent record of failure.

I've complained to the ICE about my horrible experience with DWP and I've been told there is a backlog of 18months before they will look at it.
I've been called twice by them at ICE wanting to buy me off with a £100 ex gratia payment and I told them where. . . . . sorry, I mean I declined.
I wanted to be listened to and for them to know how it is for us.

Yes ICE is 18 months, PLUS the many months of DWP NOT replying before that, but we still have to do it as we have no choice.
The homeless would reduce massively if someone with common sense in Govt sorted this out & then made ICE reprimand DWP properly.
For u to be offered £100 by ICE is fantastic, that is very rare. Your case must really embarrass the DWP. I have many that make DWP look ridiculous liars, but yours must be a good 'un too.

I can see by the comments above that people are starting to wake up to the controlled demolition of our society and economy.
So much more is coming, but will there be any revolution? I doubt it, not until those with integrity stand and fight. Or those with enough lost will join together. But remember the 6foot rule...... And you will be put into convid isolation of you are naughty. Boris has been put there twice for not being on script.
I'm serious, if you have no idea who Charles Schwab is and the 2030 great reset/4th industrial revolution is, go and research it.
The courts are locking us out of reasonable recourse too, so what recourse remains?

Further Developments, I've just rang ICE Independent Case Examiner where u send your complaints when DWP don't answer, & their 0800 4148529 number says
Your call can not be taken at the moment AND u CANNOT leave a message. Charming.
We in the real world still have to house the tenants, some Landlords getting no rent in, & we can't ring anyone in DWP with authority to sort it out before tenant goes homeless.
