How can I redirect post from my rental property to my main residence?
I have been trying to redirect post on one of my rental properties to my home address as I would prefer no correspondence addressed to me is sent there.
The post office postal redirect system failed on me on the last stage of payment options.
I called them up to no avail as they insist on proof of address proof for my rental property to be evidence, however I clearly mentioned I have not got any docs.
Is there any other alternative whereby a postal redirect can be made for my rental property to my residential address as I do not want to be a victim of ID fraud or my docs being compromised,

Just contact each mail sender, ask them to log a correspondence address
and send your mail to that, the post office make mistakes. Service providers are used to landlords wanting mail sent to a correspondence address.

Maybe not exactly answer to your question, but just a word of warning.
Newham BC was sending their correspondence to the rented property. I phoned them to change the address. They charged me £70 (seventy pounds) for changing 3 short lines in their records.
I had to pay, but could not believe really…
And they say Agents charging too much….

I assume you receive the letters from the tenants eventually so when you do let who has written to you know the address to write to – simple.

If you are in good relationship with your tenants, you can leave a few sheets of self-adhesive labels with “Please re-direct to: and your address”.
It always worked in our case, however I am not sure if the Royal mail still re-direct as it used to.
Perhaps a self-addressed large envelope with a stamp (not the the lowest value) is an answer?
Then you simply notify senders, as Martin Rdg says.

I think you only need extra ID if you are paying with a card which is not registered at the old address.
So if you register a card at the address you want to redirect from, wait a week ( for the bank to update their system) do the redirection online, then amend the address back to your correct one.
If you are set up not to receive paper statements then the bank won’t send a statement to the ‘old’ address in the interim – so no worries about tenants seeing the state of your balance/overdraft.

Paid Royal Mail over £230 for 12 months redirection to an overseas address, and they still send mail to my old address.

Could you fit a separate letterbox with your name on it or short info for the postman to put only your post there? If you don’t receive many letters good postman won’t mind separating them. You’d still need to go there to collect them though

I paid over £230 for Royal Mail to redirect, they are not doing what they have been paid to do
How do I fit an extra letterbox to a property that someone else now lives in. Also I would not be in the habit of flying back to the UK just to check that I may have some mail.
