Of course occupiers can choose their oun utility companies. The letting agent gives Tenant Shop the closing / opening readings and they liaise with the ongoing tenants. They also notify the local council.
This saves the agent a chunk of admin. If the tenants sign up with a supplier through Tenant Shop, then the agent gets a small commission.
There is no pressure for the Tenant to use them, but they will have some decent deals.

How can I redirect post from my rental property to my main residence?

I think you only need extra ID if you are paying with a card which is not registered at the old address.
So if you register a card at the address you want to redirect from, wait a week ( for the bank to update their system) do the redirection online, then amend the address back to your correct one.

If you are set up not to receive paper statements then the bank won't send a statement to the 'old' address in the interim - so no worries about tenants seeing the state of your balance/overdraft.... Read More

Property Tech Company Raises A Further £8 million of Venture Capital

Also they are charging 3% ( described as 2.5% plus vat) PLUS 30% of anything they get above the guaranteed price.
Here in the North West you can easily get a decent estate agent ( if that's not an oxymoron) for 1% plus vat.
