What about "Petition to scrap the Rented Property Tax Levy"

This tax levy was proposed by Government in the Summer 2015 Budget to be applied to private Landlords, many of which will need to pass on the tax levy to tenants if they are to avoid personal insolvency.

If Landlords don't or can't pass this tax levy into tenants many will default on their mortgages or tax and this could result in millions of resossessed properties, leading to a property price crash which would trap millions of homeowners in negative equity.

We the undersigned demand the withdrawal of the Chancellors Budget proposals in this regard.

I know Ros would like a handle similar to "Bedroom Tax"

What about "Tenant Tax" or "Home Tax"?...that would make a few ears prick up

Bedroom tax didnt apply to most, but everyone took notice because it sounded like it could have.

Sounds good to me Mark! I've just checked and there still isn't a petition started. So will you do it or will I? Or is there anybody else burning to get this going???

Actually now I think about it further I'd go back to my suggestion just for one simple reason.

The e-petition site does a search to make sure that you aren't repeating efforts by creating another similar petition. If we don't use the words mortgage interest relief then it may not find our one and thus another could be created. We must have only one petition to ensure that the numbers get above 100,000 and will thus be acted on.

Hi guys. I see there is an e-petition started. Is that on the Change.org site? I've signed a few of theirs.

I'm sorry to ask, only I cannot find a link to the petition mentioned in this thread....
