Serving the correct section 21 notice
If you serve a section 21 notice to a tenant one month before their fixed tenancy expires i.e it will rolled over to a statutory periodic before it comes into force, do you serve Section 21(4a)for a periodic tenancy or a Section 21(1)b for a fixed tenancy as it was still fixed when it was served?
Thanks

I don’t understand that comment either.
You can’t get possession under s21 during the fixed period but you can serve notice during the fixed period requesting possession on the day the fixed period ends providing the notice period provides at least two months notice.

So what notice do you serve if your in a fixed term but you require possession before the fix term ends, for example if a tenant falls into arrears and stops paying rent?
Thanks
