Date with MP to discuss Sect 21

I have (at last) managed to secure a surgery appointment with my MP in regard to the proposals to scrap Section 21.

I’m going in armed with as much info as possible and clearly will be talking from personal experience to date.

Can anyone tell me if there are any specific consultation groups that I can also refer him sign up to, other points worth raising with him while on the subject etc?

Any advice welcome.

Hi WP, please contact me. I attended the Fair Possessions Summit of landlord groups (RLA, NLA etc.) recently to discuss this and can fill you in.

I present the Landlord & Agent training for Rent Smart Wales .... roughly 4,000 landlords and agents over the last 4 years.
Why do the politicians not realise that they can achieve the same result by going back to the situation before 1996 where the 'deemed' tenancy was an Assured not Assured Shorthold. On an Assured there is no section 21 already.

Why would any landlord want to go back to that system? It was awful for property owners and property rights.

Hi WP
Not keen to put my email on a public forum but put my name into Google and you'll find me.

Who is your MP? Is he in need of educating or 'on-side'?
Can you record the conversation?

He's a bit of a dark horse. I have done some checking and I don't think he is a landlord himself so it may simply be a case of he knows nothing about this and the implications it will bring. I intend to strongly 'educate' him from a LL perspective !
