The government has set up a commission to look into making changes to the Freedom of Information Act. A survey has been set up by a campaigning organisation through which your views on this will be sent to the commission: https://speakout.38degrees.org.uk/surveys/216
FOI requests have revealed that the government’s claims about Clause 24 are not supported by evidence. For those who wish politicians to be our servants and not our masters, this is an opportunity to defend FOI.

There is no fixed date but the best guess is towards the end of this month or early next.

A lot of people here have been well and truly stabbed in the back by the party they trusted and voted for.
Stabbed in the back.

Set up in 2011, the Affluent Unit is especially interested in those owning property or bank accounts offshore, along with significant property holdings in the UK.
Those paying low rates of tax on total income are likely to be subject to scrutiny, even though there are legitimate ways in which high earners can significantly reduce their tax bill.

Mark, in your opinion, do you think Lords, will be more sympathetic towards landlords than then last group (House Of Commons)?
Are they likely to hold comprehensive arguments before legislating this madness?
