Love it Ros! Less than 2 hours to kick-off, and yes I agree that a million names is very modest. I’m really itching to get this going as I’m sure most of us are. Great stuff!

Excellent! Let’s get it done. Also share on LinkedIn, where there is probably a high proportion of professionals who have become ‘small’ landlords by accident or design e.g. for their pensions (don’t have a safe public sector pension!).

I have just spoken to Peter Davies who is the CEO of Eastern Landlords Association (circa 2,000 members) and he has agreed to email his entire membership to envourage them to sign the e-petition and to encorage their members to recruit other signatories.
He has promised to do this as soon as the e-petition URL is available.
Peter’s email address is [email protected]
He has also promised to recruit the support of other Landlords Associations who are members of the BPF (British Property Federation).

Good idea Lou, I am a member of 38 groups on LinkedIn, I will share the petition on them all. I suggest we all do as much as we can and keep sharing our promotional activities here to inspire others.

Let’s be one of the first to use this!
20/7/15 – The House of Commons and the government have launched a new website for members of the public to start or sign petitions online.

Excellent point Lou. Does anyone know Ant Lyons (YPN) and/or Richard Bowser (Property Investor News)? I don’t know them myself but have no issue with talking to them if nobody else wants to. The petition will surely catch their interest and directly affects their readership.
YPN has a long list of all the property meets around the country. I’m happy to email them all with the URL.

I’m wondering what tools there are to access accountants countrywide.
They will mostly have lots of clients that will be affected by the change and would therefore be interested in the petition.

Please talk to them, the more that do the more likely they are to take notice and to take action.

Talk to whom Mark? Ant and Richard? The list is very long for the meets and would likely need to recruit a helper for that.

I’ve just received my first reply to all the letters I sent out, this particular letter is from my own MP – Shalesh Vara, or at least from his office.
My concerns have been forwarded to David Gauke MP, Financial Secretary to the Treasury. Well, it’s a step in the right direction I suppose. 🙂
