Hi, rents in Dalston in London have gone through the roof, according to my agent. The market is flooded, flat prices have lost a third of their peak value whilst landlords try to sell.
Those not selling have turned to Airbnb; as predicted, the few flats available to rent have jumped in price. I accepted a low price to sell my one-bed flat because I am DONE with the Renters’ Rights Act.
Just before exchange of contracts, I have been asked for a price reduction. Meanwhile, my agent says this flat, which I let six months ago at £1,800 pcm, he can get £ 2,200 pcm, no problem.
Do people agree that everything that was predicted on this forum is coming to pass?
Thanks,
Helen
