Minimum EPC Ratings Scotland published
Finally “The Energy Efficiency (Private Rented Property) (Scotland) Regulations 2019” to be laid before the Scottish Parliament later this year were published on 17th June 2019 . As expected, no changes to the proposed minimum ratings and deadlines, which are min E for new leases/all properties by Apr 2020/2022 and min D by Apr 2022/2025. Cost cap set at £5000 (to achieve each min Band!) and exemptions very limited.
As rare to know when an existing tenant may give notice to leave, landlords should consider the earlier dates to assess and plan any required improvements, or be caught with unable to advertise.

I believe all rentals will need to meet the following, ‘D’ rating by 2025 and a ‘C’ rating by 2030.

Minimum D by 2025 coincides with Scotland then, but is that for ALL tenancies/properties or, like the Scotland plan, does that also begin for NEW tenancies from as early as 2022?

I’m not sure but given that all rental properties will have to be an E for both new and existing tenancies as of April 2020 it could possible be the same but I am unable to find any firm information on it.
