Limited company address still registered at property?
Hi everyone, My ex-tenant used my rental property as the office address for his Ltd company while he was living there.
He left the property two years ago and has still not changed the office address with Companies House.
I have since had a few bailiffs visits at the address for this company chasing money.
I contacted Companies House and they are asking me to go through a lengthy process and disclose all my personal information to get this address removed/updated from their records.
Is there anything else I can do to stop further visits from bailiffs?
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

If I were you I would fill in form RP07 and you will find this here:

In Northern Ireland we have had thousands of businesses opened up by Chinese people using false details .
I have reported three of my properties used for this. I reported the first two filling out forms in which hrmc won’t even respond to.
They won’t simplify the system where you can phone to report and immediately suspend the business at the address.
It is my understanding they use this scam for vat fraud amongst other fraud.

I have had a situation where a tenant was renting my property and using it as a registered company address without my permission. The tenant did not change the address when moving on but this was not fraud, simply an oversight. So I just filled the relevant form in from Companies House.
The problem you are reporting is partly happening because Companies House recently introduced a requirement for a UK company to have a presence in a physical office where records may be served on the company. Sometimes they only need to do this to link an internet domain to something that appears to be legitimate. Clearly, Companies House needs a process to enable landlords to address this. The last time this happened to me I just filled in form RP07 and the problem went away; it was the tenant’s problem, not mine.
