How to evict persistent late payer
I have a tenant who is late with their rent every month and only pays after a lot of calls/emails/text etc. I told him last time was his last warning and he promised to set up a direct debit.
Well one month was fine, and we are now back to no payment and I have had enough of it.
He was on a 6 month short term tenancy which finished and just went onto a statutory periodic.
What is the best way to evict him?
Thanks
Zoe

Hi Zoe,
As you are now out of the Fixed term that is good news and you can issue a section 21 with 2 months notice.
A section 8 would be if the tenant was 2 months or more in arrears, which it doesn’t sound as if that has ever been the case.

“A couple attempt to fire their careless live-in nanny, but the woman reveals she established residency in the house without their knowledge, forcing the family to undergo a lengthy eviction process in order to rid her from their home.”
Does any of this seem familiar or topical? It is from a Rotten Tomatoes write up at https://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/evil_nanny/. I have no idea how good the film is, but it is a shame more of this kind is not set and viewed in Britain. I’m about to watch it and I suspect get more than a little irritated..
