    Dear Tatton Landlord

You have written an excellent personal email which may or may not be read by David Cameron.

Would it be possible for you to send it to all the newspapers as “an email to David Cameron” ? I am sure some of them would take it up but if not, we could collectively pay to publish it as an advert. Ideally we could have a personal letter each week or even day from landlords in a similar situation.

There are lots of examples on this forum including myself of landlords who will need to give up doing what we do best – giving people secure well managed homes! We need the press to take this on for us and if we need to pay them, so be it!

Please get your letter out into circulation rather than the PMs junk mail box which he no doubt empties daily

Great letter, TL. Could you post it as an article on Property118? All you have to do is go to ‘create an article’ and it should take you two minutes. You have to think of a title – maybe ‘Get rid of Osborne!’ or ‘Osborne must go!’ or you may think of something better.

The advantage of that is that it is there then as a resource for everyone – eg. people can send a quick email to a journalist with a link to the article.

    Hi Ros

I have created an article entitled “Campaign to remove George Osborne from post of Chancellor of the Exchequer”.

Thanks to you for all of your excellent articles and comments on this forum and for your own tireless campaigning.

Yes, I have no expectation that the email will actually be read by DC! However, I had a lot to get off my chest and hopefully it will serve as a springboard to further campaigning to remove Clause 24 now that other much more sensible measures have been put in place.

You could tweet a link to the letter to him @David_Cameron and why not also directly to George? @George_Osborne

Doubtful either would read it, but you can but try

    Hi TL

    Congratulations on your excellent letter.

As Osborne’s constituents you are in an enviable position. If you were members of the local Conservative association you might be able to achieve more from the inside than from the outside, as long as you retain your anonymity on public websites. Presumably you would find other affected landlords there.

They would. As I understand it, the RLA has one or two senior members in Tatton and have had two surgery meetings with him, to no avail. The more the merrier, I say…
