Hi ros, more than happy to help with a report for the commitee. Let me know what you want me to do and where to send it.

Getting Boris on would be interesting. I cannot say which way this could pan out as both wants to be Prime minister.

Watching the politics that is being played between the two. Makes me think whatever stance Boris takes GO will take the opposite. Knowing both of them are public school spoilt brats. I don’t expect a level playing pragmatism would be applied.

I am not into politics of envy and I have no issues of their Eaton background.

    Hi John

Your comment has been back-dated to yesterday afternoon, so people who do not click on the emails may not have seen it: https://www.property118.com/budget-2015-landlords-reactions/76164/comment-page-278/#comment-62265

I tried to get to the contact page of http://saynotogeorge.co.uk/ to see the comments but got Error 404 – page not available.

Can you not just delete the comments of time-wasters, like Mark does?

As to commenting on their website, I think that would be a waste of energy. These people are irrelevant.

This is a lot like grouse shooting!

Ruhal was planning to write a letter to Boris this weekend, Ros. I have sent him a draft that he can tweak.

I couldn’t find the one that was posted on here two weeks or so ago, so used Mark Alexander’s open letter to George Freeman, heavily-tweaked, but with some of the examples included as I haven’t a head for figures at the best of times.

I’ve asked Ruhal to email you the draft after he has made additions / changes, in case I missed something crucial out. I included the link to the petition and also the Q&A as an attachment (though this may not be possible if he is sending an email from that “write to an MP website”). I didn’t use the Auntie example, though.

Hope you are getting on well with your task. Do have a break from it. I nodded off on my laptop for 40 minutes and woke up absolutely freezing!

I feel like I have been robbed by Osborne & Co in day light.

    Thanks Connie.
I’ve been hard at it – but half watching ‘Spider Man’ with my daughter and with my gorgeous retriever, Linda, next to me. It’s not working on the chain gang… Thanks to Connie, Neil and Kathy. I’ve written your names down and will send submissions to you when they are ready, for you to use as they are, change etc. You have to put a little bit at the beginning, along the lines of ‘I am a landlord with x many properties in y area.’

Yes, Saeef. That’s because it’s a criminal move. This measure makes all our nightmare tenants and all the tens of thousands I’ve lost with bad payers and all the loss of sleep with court cases and so on, pale into insignificance. This is a move which can rob us completely of our livelihoods and pensions.. It will also rob others of their dreams of investing in a few buy-to-lets in the future. But the big guys with the big bucks will still be fine.
