From Russia With Love
As it’s my birthday today I thought a bit of self indulgence might be forgivable. 
I’ve been visiting my in-laws in Yelets in Russia since 27th December and return to the UK this weekend. This is what I’ve been up to.
Our little studio apartment – Svetlana’s project for the last three months …
Here’s what it looked like three months ago ….
Now I have to confess to being a bit of a foodie, I’m particularly fond of sausages so this isle in the local supermarket is my Nirvana …..
I also love Sushi and Cocktails and at these prices I can have as many as I want – 108p = £1
And with scenery like this (and good clothing) it’s not too difficult to fall in love with the Russian Winter …
But the best part of all, with there being such a huge amount of family on my wife’s side, there’s always a party somewhere every night 😀

Thanks for the pics. My husband is also Russian. It’s hard to believe the supermarket photos – compared to when I first went there

That looks like a very nice refurb indeed. Like I always say, it doesn’t take a lot more work to sort out a disaster zone that somewhere that just looks a bit tired, but the former should be a far cheaper buy!
