My partner is the executor, of his parent’s house. In his mum’s will, it is to be sold and divided between him and his 2 brothers.

Just when everything was going, the land registry refused, due to the missing head lease. However, we gave every bit of information we had in his mother’s name when she and her husband bought the property.

We do not know where to get any further information.

How do we move forward?

Sheila

I would have expected the Land Registry to have the details of all the relevant leases. In the past I have always found the land registry staff to be very helpful. I think you may need to get a lawyer involved to pin down exactly what the issue is. Yours cannot be a unique scenario.
