Catching a naughty tenant?
How can you legally find out where a tenant now lives?
In my case I had a tenant not only do a bunk owing rent but she decided to remove the washing machine we left in the property for her use, but dragging it all through the flat slicing the carpet in ever room as she went, smash the cooker to bits, stuff glass down the pipework in kitchen and let her dog chew through wall plaster and board till it hit brick. Not a benefit tenant but a private tenant!
I have been through the whole ‘fun’ court system and am currently waiting a full judgement in my favour so I can pursue all costs/damages.
My question is, I have her mother’s address (from her driving licence ID at the time of the deposit), and I had the address where she moved to after trashing my property, but I don’t know for sure if she is still there. I have asked the employer at the time who gave her a reference if she is still working there and if they have her current address (no reply from them), and I have looked on the electoral roll (not listed). I have looked on social media and she posts but nothing clear about where she is working now exactly although she still lists her employer as the NHS.
Can I approach the NHS to ask them for any latest address info? Can they refuse to tell me? What can I legally do now to try and determine where she lives so I can progress for money recovery?

Serve the claim at the last known address.
Then enforce the judgement with an attachment of earnings with her NHS employer.

Under GDPR rules it is unlikely a government body or employer will give out any personal information that has not had permission given by the individual or for the purpose of holding the information.

the NHS is a rather large animal. Any direct experience of what exactly to narrow it down to?

Remember when you first took them on?
All those boring checks you carried out?
All that seemingly pointless information you collected?
Or did you just take a gamble and undercut everyone else by a tenner a month and hope for the best?

Did all the checks at the time myself, due to having a rogue Mgt company in the past. Issue is she is contracted and not necessarily a direct NHS employee – have contacted her last known employer but they have not responded. I just need to know if she is still employed then I can issue an attachment to earnings.
