Annex smells of petrol from garage
I have recently moved into an annex, which the garage is attached to. The petrol fumes in the annex were quite strong, but I told my landlord and he kindly removed two containers of fuel. That removed the potency significantly. However, I can still smell the fumes.
My landlord says that he cant remove the petrol lawnmower and other fuel based tools that are still stored in the garage as he needs them for work.
I have two questions really. The first is: where do i stand with this? What are the rules and expectations and are there any legal expectations I should be aware of?
My second question is: Does anyone know of any solutions? I don’t want to mask the smell as obviously I am then still inhaling toxic fumes.
Any thoughts or advice greatly appreciated.

My concern would be more of fire safety.
There should be 30 minutes of fire separation for rooms around and above a garage. Also if you can smell petrol that does mean the vapors are in the air which could be a hazard.
