Survey to influence post Budget BTL product development
by Howard
I have been asked by some industry heavyweights to gain some intel from the BTL community on how they feel about the Budget changes that will affect property investors. The results of the survey could assist the market by producing valuable feedback to enable new and improved mortgage products become available to address (and hopefully offset) the tax relief and expenses changes which are being implemented over the next 2 years. ![]()
The survey is available to be viewed and used HERE
As prolific, and nationally recognised Broker with fantastic connections such as the Property118 community we have been selected to present this survey and your assistance will be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks in advance for your help and cooperation in this matter.
Best regards

Thanks for the feedback Bill. As I clearly detail on the survey form, I guarantee that no respondents will be contacted for marketing purposes. The inherent reason for requesting this info is to weed out the duds and timewasters. Call me cynical but I know from experience that certain form formats work better than others.
Thank you sincerely to the 200+ survey submissions so far. Noting your replies and survey comments, I acknowledge that the industry has a long way to go and the full survey report will hopefully provide credible and compelling collateral for the cause.

🙂 Thank you. I promise you, and all others, to press the report through to the right channels in order to positively lobby for a wider range of supportive finance products from the industry.

Will the results of the survey be available for us to see at some stage?

Yes. I believe there should be nothing hidden or mysterious about this (except of course respondent’s names will be concealed from all publication), but the replies will form a report for the community’s interest. This will be a downloadable PDF document. I will publish the link to that on this thread in due course.
