Question re tenants running a business from a rented home
I have my own business, my registered business address is separate to my home flat address but I send my items out by courier to my customers from my flat address each morning, is this ok ?
The tenancy agreement says I can’t run a business from my home address but I don’t think I am exactly, please can you clarify or offer any advice ? ![]()
I do all my work for my business at my registered business address.
Kind Regards
Darren

Hi Darren
Technically you are in breach of your tenancy and your landlord could serve you with a section 8 two weeks notice and then apply for a Court order to have you evicted thereafter.
However, on a practical level I think it is unlikely that a landlord would enforce that condition of the tenancy unless they received complaints.
