I have rented properties for around 20 years and I have a small portfolio of 5 rental properties in Grimsby.
I provide good quality accommodation and regularly maintain my properties fixtures & fittings. I treat my tenants with respect and expect my tenants to respect my property in return.
My properties are my retirement nest egg. I prefer long term tenants, but as 4 of my rentals are flats I sometimes have a quicker tenant turnover than I would like. I manage 3 myself and an agent manages 2. Using an agent has not proved to be as hands off as I would have liked, and it took longer to get tenants than I ever have. Still lessons learned and all is running well at the moment.
