Hi Gilly,

You will be pleased to know then that Property Tribes is completely impartial, independent, and transparent as to where there is any commercial or other agenda.

We have no connections to any councils.

The only "Big Brother" we have is community self-regulation which often proves invaluable in exposing rogues and bad practice! We see this as the healthiest way of improving standards in the private rented sector.

Thanks Vanessa,
As an avid reader of Property Tribes, I am well aware of the wide range of views and unfettered discussion (as with Property 118) and love it! I hope my comment did not seem like a criticism of all the sites. I was commenting on local landlord forums really, which are mainly run in conjunction with local councils. That, in itself, is no bad thing, but the influence and effect that this can have can be.

May I suggest Commercial Trust? Articles for landlords can be found here: https://www.commercialtrust.co.uk/btl/landlord-advice/

Thanks for the kind comment Gilly. Much appreciated.

Our most recent very robust discussion has been landlords going head to head on the topic of leverage. We have 163 replies and it has been viewed over 6,000 times since posted on 25th May.

These kind of discussions are so useful in teasing out the true detail on any aspect of property because "the devil is always in the detail" and the reason many people make expensive errors or poor decisions is because they did not dig deep enough into the nitty gritty.

Hello Amelia and welcome to Property118 as I see this is your first comment.

You may indeed mention and link to Commercial Trust on this thread and as I see you have a Commercial Trust email address you may also wish to consider becoming a sponsor or business member of this website 🙂
