Hi everyone, So yesterday I received these landlord updates from our wonderful government…

Update from GOV.UK for:
Changes to private renting
Tenant Fees Act 2019: guidance for tenants

I asked the same question earlier.This useless government as usual gives no guidance to landlords, I assume because they want to catch landlords out and fine them. So we can expect to be swamped with endless updates. Notifying tenants costs time and money, but no we are not” working people”.

In this email, the page summary makes it clear it’s aimed at tenants. I agree, the incessant stream of messages shows they hadn’t thought it out properly in the first place.
But I too would like to know what we as landlords are supposed to do in response to these “amendments”.
