Ending a rent guarantee contract with Northwood
I wondered if anyone had some advice. I have informed Northwood that I do not want to renew my rent guarantee contract with them. The tenants are moving out but not until after my one year contract expires at end of March, when I am due my last guaranteed rent payment. ![]()
Are Northwood liable to pay me rent pro rats until I gain vacant possession and have had a chance to check all is well at the flat and that the deposit can be returned to the tenants?
They move out mid April, but contact is not written clearly enough to help me determine what northwoodmust do in this instance.
Any advice gratefully received.
Many thanks
Hindle

Hi Hindle
What have Northwoods said?
If you are not happy with the response and you are convinced the contract is unclear see the case law established by OFT vs Foxtons >>> http://blog.painsmith.co.uk/2010/02/23/oft-v-foxtons-the-final-order/
