Diplomatic/embassy rental?
Hi everyone, I have a Prospective rental to a diplomatic East African embassy. Of course the rental is income good, but I am not 100% sure, because of their diplomatic status.
If anything goes wrong what legal rights do I have if any?
For example if there is a coupe and the government topples etc who pays the rent then?
I have the sinking feeling this is bad idea even if the rent is fairly good.
Many thanks
Blair

Hi Blair,
I think your gut is telling you everything you need to know or have I seen too much on the news recently?

Steer well clear as you will not be are to enforce any legal rights. It’s for this reason that mortgage providers will not lend to anybody with diplomatic immunity.

If the person or organization has diplomatic immunity they can stay forever and pay no rent.
