Buying Attic space

I would like to buy the attic space above my flat . There are 16 flats in our block and 12 of us own the freehold. 
Eight of us have been using the attack as storage but it does not belong to us, it belongs to the freehold company.
I need to know how I can get a valuation do to buy the attack space?

Nike are you saying the attic space has different values ? according to the the purpose of use i.e storage or conversion or separate accommodation .

If it remains as storage then the value change is marginal. However if it is suitable for conversion to additional accommodation for the first floor flats or could be developed separately then the value would be substantial and the lower floor residents could reasonably expect a share of the enhanced value as sharehlders in the freehold company.

If the 8 voting in favour are the 8 now using it, you may find the vote is not valid. Under the circumstances the lower floors didn’t get a fair shot. Again you would need a specialist.
