    Hi everyone.
I don’t bother much with Facebook, but I know others do, so could you do me a favour and post this link on your Facebook page as it is a cause close to my heart (nothing to do with landlords)?

My MP replied after a couple of weeks asking for my address (stupid of me not to have included it, but I am on his mailshot email list). Subsequently I’ve heard nothing.

I emailed him telling him I would be issuing my email to the BBC, giving him the chance to respond. Not even an acknowledgement.

I emailed him on 31st Jan asking him when he expected to reply to me and giving him details of the notice of rent rise I’d issued to one of my two tenants, which included a full explanation of why I was doing this i.e. Clause 24. Still, not a word from my MP.

I have dreamed up this fairytale scenario where Tories are having massive crisis talks and an internal review and will shortly announce they’re reversing Clause 24 as it’s such a stupid idea, and my MP is keeping schtum until then, but he’s lobbying on my behalf.

In reality, he’s just being plain bloody rude and unprofessional. I pay his bloody wages and, for some misguided reason, I voted for him!

Most MPs will not stick their heads above the parapet.
    A. If they’re wrong they get shot
    B. If they’re right they get tarnished as being disloyal
    C. It can be severely career limiting
So they’re happy for Ministers to get it badly wrong enough for them to hang themselves whilst they innocently sit on their hands.

Sounds about right Barry. Sadly, just like the average workplace.

I also donated and shared on FB. Tried to message Ros, but couldn’t figure out how to here. Very important cause. Thanks for bringing it to our attention (in such an unlikely place!).

Thanks Rachel and Worried by Budget – this is an opportunity to make a difference to these girls’ lives and stop them being mutilated. I thought it was worth breaking with tradition and sharing it here – it isn’t all about us.

Fortunately such mutilation [FGM} is illegal in this country, the mere thought makes me feel sick.
