    No I could not find the facts and figures but thought this was interesting as itsuggested ways to slow the market without taking the tax relief

    @Matthew

    I have to agree. Perhaps if the facing saving generated more £m’s then he might pay attention but I don’t see it.

    Mark, I think we seriously should start looking at a route to legal action, and informing the media that a legal challenge will be mounted if this proposal passes. This may start to focus the minds of some MPs and decision makers.

    The RLA have today asked for alternative proposals and even mentioned offsetting energy efficient measures against income as supposed to capital. It’s a complete joke. The NLA and RLA need to start earning their membership fees! I suggest everyone contacts their respective associations and let them know in the strongest possible terms that their position simply isn’t good enough.

    Yep, Saeef, Osborne may as well stick a needle in our arms and bleed us dry.

    Did you mean 20k, though?

    Neil, RLA stance on this particular measure is simply laughable.

    The biggest irony is that, forthcoming legislation is so complex that, nobody seems to understand or even bothered about it.

    Proof is in pudding 14000 signatures from 2 million landlords!
