And yet GBP2.1 billion is spent on"refugees" annually to house them in government approved refugee accommodation. The space is there. The broken system that values asylum seekers over UK citizens is the scandal. And the gross fortunes made by these...

I know I will never see the money unless the requirement for a clean credit record forces her into satisfying the CCJ debt. I want to extend the CCJ period in order to hopefully achieve this. Making her life difficult...

Thank you all for your comments. The CCJ expires towards the end of June. However, I am still seeking advice on what a "witness statement" entails within the context of UK requirements and is a formal application and or witness...

Newbie to PRS?

You would be better off investing in the share market. A share like NVDIA Corp has given me much better returns and a share can be classed as passive income. Personally, as an offshore BTL landlord in the UK for...

I had the same problem after evicting a serial rogue tenant. I subsequently queried the listing of the CCJ after the eviction with the Registry Trust at www.registry-trust.org.uk. No CCJ was registered against the tenant. I was informed that if...

Cladding repairs needed to remortgage?

26th July 2022, 4 years ago

It will be illegal for freeholders to pass on the cost of historical building repair works or the removal of cladding to any of their leaseholders, including non-qualifying leaseholders, if they are or are linked to the building's developer. See...

Thank you Charles. I would not like to presume on your goodwill although I can see it is well intended :) It may be in my and other commentators, with a keen interest in the subject, to await updates from...

A number of factors. I am a solely offshore BTL investor and in hindsight wish I had never dabbled. The differences in being a property investor between our two countries is vast and the UK is a particular minefield that...

I would be extremely grateful if Lord of the Manor and Anne Nixon could keep this forum informed of any success in collecting their CCJ debts. I too have a CCJ of over GBP16 000 owed to me by a...

Reply to the comment left by Shining Wit at 17/09/2021 - 11:35There are some in government who accept that they are responsible. https://twitter.com/i/status/1438502987865808904 Interestingly, leaked documents now expose that, years before the Grenfell tragedy, ACM cladding was failing all fire...

#EndOurCladdingScandal

26th August 2021, 5 years ago

I am of the opinion that the polluter should always pay. Surely a more equitable solution to this heinous situation would have seen the government offering low interest" loans" to obscenely wealthy stock exchange listed development companies to remedy this...

#EndOurCladdingScandal

I quote from your comment above "The Government will be ripped off by contractors and end up paying two or three times what it ought to." This is exactly what is expected from innocent leaseholders who did not build, inspect,...

Non residents invested in the UK BTL industry and after 12 years very reluctantly forced to continue to be due to the long awaited replacement of the cladding on our original new builds.
My husband and I reside in Johannesburg.
We have one more property to sell before we can exit the industry in it's entirety.
