A few points here. Firstly, the maximum notice a tenant is required to give is two months. If that notice has to fall on a rent day, that could be almost three months. The legislation only refers to a maximum...
If the threat of rent controls doesn’t subside, my rents will rise to market rates next year. For one lucky tenant, that means an increase of 25%. Others will be 10%. The alternative, if rent controls means I cannot raise...

I don’t have mortgages. I would like to sell but not to another landlord. I’d prefer to give the government more families to find housing for. I’d happily have one demolished to avoid CGT when I sell some of the...

When will people realise, it’s not Section 21 that is the problem. The vast majority of Section 21 Notices have been issued for a reason or reasons that will be covered by Section 8. The problem is that the government...

I asked and they were non-committal. I’ve written my own with the help of written terms. Scotland has a really good tenancy creator.

My rents start at less than£6k per year. A penalty of £7k would be devastating (especially for the tenants).

I’m a small landlord. I do not need additional guidance, I understand the rules. The problem is that the rules are grossly unfair.
