Once upon a time – A story about LettingSupermarket.com

Once upon a time there were only High Street Letting Agents, then the internet enabled on line entrepreneurs to offer a discounted service. The problem was that online agents were unable to offer a High Street service from a central location because they have no infrastructure to provide photos’, viewings and ongoing management and then Lettingsupermarket.com came along. Letting Supermarket

They saw a niche in the market where, with the proper support, they could offer a High Street service with online prices.

With the help of the owners of Property118.com they do this by separating “back end” management from “feet on the ground”. Their property managers are all highly qualified inventory clerks who are accustomed to working with landlords and providing high quality inventories, check ins and check outs. They don’t have expensive offices or staff with company cars and minimise costs by using online services wherever possible. They have support through 80% of England and Wales, are ARLA bonded and use DPS to secure deposits so landlord and tenant monies are safe.

There is only about 20% of England and Wales that Lettingsupermarket.com doesn’t cover; Kent, Cornwall and Cumbria are the main areas and a few other isolated locations in the Midlands.  It’s a bit of a vicious circle as until they have a (qualified inventory clerk) agent in the area, they cannot push their remarkably economic model.

They are, therefore, seeking both agents and landlords in these areas.

Please help them to bring Lettingsupermarket.com to your county, you will not regret it.

Do you know if they offer training? I would love to work for such an exciting company but am not AIIC qualified. Seen as I’m based in Kent I could help them fill the gap in their market.

Sorry Gail, I don’t know. Have you completed the enquiry form to ask the question?

If they don’t provide training I’m sure they will be able to refer you to a provider, e.g. the A.I.I.C (Association of Independent Inventory Clerks).
