Universal credit repayment claim?
I would be most grateful for any advice because Universal Credit are claiming back the last month’s rent for a tenant who was still residing in the property.
It appears she has taken the tenancy of a social housing property and has given this information to UC.
We received the last payment on Friday 2nd July and they asked for it back on the fifth.
The tenant handed the keys back on the 12th at the end of the tenancy.
Many thanks
Brenda

Not mentioned in your post, please clarify. Did the tenant serve notice to leave iaw the terms of the AST? Also did the council inform you that the tenant was being moved?

If you can supply evidence of the tenant occupation you can appeal.
