What is the right amount of debt for a property investor?

Too little debt can be as costly as too much on your property portfolio, so maintaining your debt correctly is vital to your property business.

In this episode of The Property Tax Show, I’m joined once again by Alex Norian, the tax specialist, from Property118 to discuss all things debt.

Hi Ranjan,
I'd really like you to do a session discussing potential downsides of incorporation.
Namely:
1. Higher interest rates levied by lenders to companies vs. individuals
2. Tax and NIC on Salary & dividends made by the company to employees/ owners

Although the lower headline corporation tax rates seems fantastic, the net post-tax income you can utilise for personal expenditure seems no different to me (if not worse), vs. holding properties individually under S24.
