Tenants from hell pictures – £500 competition gimmick!
Yes we know it is a marketing gimmick and you will be giving your name and email address to Hillarys, who sell not completely unrelated curtains and blinds, but they are running a competition to upload your worst tenants from hell pictures showing the mess left behind.
“We’re asking landlords to submit photos of their properties at the end of tenancy – the dirtier the better! The worst photos will win £500.”
A spokesperson for www.Hillarys.co.uk, said: “We’ve all probably seen and heard horror stories about this kind of thing, but it’ll be interesting to see what the reality looks like.
“Cleaning up at the end of a tenancy can be an unpleasant job for landlords, so this competition is just a bit of fun especially for one lucky winner who gets to take home a £500 prize for their troubles.”
Landlords are not allowed under the rules to send a picture where a face can be identified.

It would more productive to send the photos, along with the possession process info (obviously no tenant details) to your MP and ask them to submit it all to the backbench debate on S21 next week

No worries! We agree whole-heartedly. Rest assured – that’s already done!!
Let’s hope there are many representations like ours.
Well done for reminding everyone, Annie L.
Thank you!
