We offer a good service to students in our local area and have high levels of referrals. We have over 15 years experience in this sector, so it was a shock, after the government announced its changes, to realise it may not be worth continuing. We found Mark through an article in the Daily Mail. On looking at this website we could see that here was someone who knew exactly what they were talking about and trying to help others. Other advisors, most of whom were recommended by the NLA or advertising with them, had tried to get us to pay large amounts of money with very little information forthcoming before asking us to commit which is why we had no hesitation in paying the very reasonable £400 consultation fee with Mark. The spreadsheets and information he sent are very informative and helpful. The telephone session was also illuminating. We are going to work with Mark and our accountants. Instead of thinking of scaling down in light of the changes we now hope to move forward and grow the business.

Like so many other Landlords I have been pondering the longterm effects of the Section 24 Tax changes to me personally. I ruefully came to the conclusion that for the first time ever I would have to pay for some advice. Mark struck me as an individual who has walked the walk rather than just talk the talked so it was an obvious choice for me to sign up for one of his consultations. I took the opportunity of meeting with Mark whilst on holiday in Malta. The meeting was relaxed and one key question was answered.... to incorporate or not right now. A stratetgy for the future was discussed and that has now moved on to the implementaion phase. In passing Mark pointed out one small and obscure error in my annual tax return accounting practices (Thankfully the error had only been short term but would have gone on much longer if not spotted). It won't be many years before a correction to that error will pay for the consultation and the weeks holiday in Malta. So all in all, largely thanks to Mark I am feeling pretty comfortable with the tax changes ahead and how to deal with them. Thank you Mark.

I booked a consultation with Mark after hearing him speak at the Baker Street Property Meet a few weeks ago. He is an excellent speaker and I was really inspired by his no nonsense commercial approach to the topics covered and subsequent Q&A session. I had read all of the articles posted on P118 regarding tax changes and potential restructuring options multiple times prior to booking a session with Mark. I would certainly recommend you also do this as it means you can get the most from his expertise and really get into the nuances of your situation. He fully assessed my needs and regularly checked my understanding throughout the session. I came away with a very clear understanding of the next steps in my property career and exactly how I could implement the proposed changes. I had no hesitation in booking a consultation with Mark Alexander and it was very good value for money. The key to his approach is to bring different aspects of the path together to line them up so that it is easy to navigate. After initial email consultation, he will let you know if he can help you or not. So it is risk free..
I have no hesitation recommending him.
I am now liaising with my accountant and may need some clarifications as my accountant seems to need some help !

After spending quite some time thinking about the options of whether to incorporate our business or not, we decided to book a consultation with Mark Alexander. We already knew Mark from the West Brom case where they were wrongly hiking interest rates on our tracker mortgages and we joined the action group via Property118 to take them to court. We were over the moon to hear that they went on to win the case and West Brom had to repay over £27 million to landlords for overpayments and interest on top.
