Having incorporated in tax year 20/21 we received notification of a tax investigation on 11th July 2022 relating to the 20/21 year. The deadline was 31st August 2022. Mark immediately acted and in conjunction with my accountant they answered all questions. Mark assured me that he would provide all support needed at no cost. We sent the information to HMRC on 18th July 2022. On 5th August HMRC informed me I had no more tax to pay and the case was closed.
Mark says it is by far the fastest resolution he has experienced. Brilliant support from 118 and my accountant Phil Arch. Both worked together and I did very little.

We’ve received an exceptional service from Alex Norian and Cotswold Barristers. Alex explained very clearly and expertly in concise and plain English exactly what we needed to do and how to save inheritance tax. He kept in touch, answered all queries, and kept us informed all along the way. Cotswold Barristers are operating in the same efficient fashion. They are using their app and electronic signatures to make a complex process seem very easy and light touch. I am very impressed so far and have and full understanding and confidence that the restructure recommended will work for us. I’m also very reassured by the insurance policy behind the Cotswold Barristers advice and would hope to able to use them for future advice as well.

Thankyou to Property 118 and in particular Stef Norian for guiding me through and presenting a very thorough and detailed analysis of my property tax strategy. The solution that has been created out of the chaos of section24 is actually super clever and combines a solid set of guidance to allow incorporation relief which opens the gateway to massive tax benefits for the slighty dazed and out of pocket landlord. The first is income tax which puts you back in the game if you are a higher rate tax payer. Next on incorporation the re-basing of property values to current market value allows you to strategise further and sell some old portfolio dogs in this rising market and purchase something with better investment potential. A CGT holiday in effect once you incorporate. Finally and most importantly is the massive mitigation of IHT for the next generation. The portfolio landlord without this solution is going to give half of his/her wealth away when the day comes. Well done Steff and the team at 118 for having the audacity and courage to do this. Its being heavily marketed now because it works and gives big wins all round. Good advice and corporate structure does not come cheap and if it did you should be worried! Again Thankyou and i encourage Landlords to take action and see this as the best investment you will make in yourself and your families future

it took me a long time for me to proceed with incorporation, but Mark, Alex and Yvonne have been of great assistance throughout the process.

I have a couple of friends who may be interested and if they come to me for advice I will refer them to property118.

Mark can you please please guide IHT saving after incorporating.
Q1 ) Our understanding is if my wife or I survive two years from incorporating the there will be no IHT .
Q2) What fees is payable to your company after incorporating and all the set is done and dusted.
3) if we need to draw more then £ 37500 each after incorporating then is do we take it as a dividend or debt capital account - draw down capital.

My wife and I have portfolio - 30 plus uy to let units. No mortgages. All paid .
Age 65
Wife 61 Both in poor health
Plus very small percentage in children Ltd.
Again no mortgages on Ltd.

Yes of course I remember you. Thank you for the Testimonial comment and please pass on my best wishes to your Dad and your Uncle. I'm pleased you're finding the books useful.

My next recommendation is that you start to go to property meet ups and talk to other property investors. There are hundreds of these meetups in the UK. There are some very good people that attend them but there are also a few sharks and plenty of wannabees too, so be careful. You can learn a lot from them though. Seek out the people who have been in the business for 20 plus years if you can and pick their brains. Don’t sign up for any ‘get rich quick’ courses.

I'm not sure if you remember me but my Dad, and I had set up the SMART company structure with you to restructure our property portfolio. Its saved us paying an insane amount of tax and it's saved my Uncle a stupendous amount of tax.

I asked you a while back for advice on how to become rich and successful.

The advice you gave was to read books. That's what I've done! I've become a fervent reader of self-development and financial investing. I read a book a week and it's totally changed everything. It's changed my habits, mindset, career ambitions, purpose, and everything after.

I wanted to tell you that without you telling me to start with reading, I wouldn't be in the position I'm in. And I mean it! So thank you for heading me in the right direction.
