Stamp duty when separating titles?
I have a separate flat in my house though under a single title owned by me. This has been rented.
I want to separate the titles and sell the maisonette that has been my own home and move into the previously rented flat which will become my sole property. Stamp duty will be paid by the purchasers of the Maisonette.
Obviously I paid stamp duty on the whole house some time ago – but that was when property was cheaper and stamp duty was lower.
Will stamp duty be liable on the flat that I move into once the titles are split
Many thanks.
Kim
