This year, the Property Investors Awards (organised by the Property Investors Bureau) returned to hosting a physical ceremony for its 10th year anniversary with celebrations consisting of an illustrious evening of fine dining and entertainment to announce the winners. The glamorous event took place at the extravagant Marriott Grosvenor Square Hotel in Mayfair. It has never been more important to ensure that we continue to celebrate the very best in the property investment sector and inspire investors to improve and develop in a sustainable manner.
On Saturday 26th November, ten deserving winners were announced across a range of different categories, representing a diverse and prestigious set of candidates across many areas of the property investment industry.

Daryl Norkett – Head of Real Estate Proposition – Shawbrook Bank: “It’s been a privilege to serve as one of the judges for the past 6 years of the Property Investor Awards – it’s such an invaluable experience for me to see some of the most creative examples of success within the property industry which are so often at the cutting edge of what is happening in our market. The calibre and quality of nominees continues to improve year on year and the lively debates at the judging days demonstrate just how hard it can be to pick a winner. Winning one of the awards is a true badge of honour for all property professionals.”
Richard Valentine-Selsey – Head of European Living Research & Consultancy – Savills: “The Property Investor Awards provide a rigorous and independent platform to highlight the strength of your business. At the same time lifting the professionalism and integrity of the industry, ensuring that all involved can be proud of the awards that they have achieved.”
Jason Ellis – Director – Horner Blakey Insurance Brokers: “The forum of the Property Awards recognises the achievements of full time investors, institutional investors and gives those companies and individuals starting their investment or development journey something to aspire to with the added benefit of bringing likeminded people and businesses together who form part of the Real Estate and Property Industry sector. As a judge I feel the Property sector comes under scrutiny from a regulatory perspective making processes, procedures and professionalism more important, I spare my time each year as a judge in the hope I can share my industry knowledge and help clients think of things that might not ordinarily be on their agenda so they are in the best possible position to run their business/investments.”
Helen Chorley – Angel Property Investor and Judge at the Property Investors Awards: “In an industry that often gets bad press it’s even more important to recognise those who are striving to improve standards and who are producing quality homes for so many people. That’s why I enjoy being on the judging panel for the Property Investor Awards so much, the chance to recognise those making a positive difference for the sector and society by their actions.”
Founder and Chairman of the Awards, Cyril Thomas: “This year marked our 10-year anniversary and was our largest and most inspiring event to date. Witnessing property investors adjust and thrive during these tough economic times encourages others to be better. I was particularly impressed with the amount of property investors who prioritised making their property investments energy efficient and sustainable. As always, I’d like to thank all of our partners, judges, and sponsors for helping to make this year’s awards such an outstanding success and we look forward to celebrating with you all again at the Property Investors Awards 2023.

Why do property investors need awards?
Is this not just a marketing exercise for the so called “winners” and their businesses?
I’d argue these are not the best in the sector!

Great to see some people in our industry recognised for their efforts.
And in response to the comment above – you need to be in it to win it!
